The whistles are orientated in an exponential spiral and their heights and therefore pitches correspond to their distance from the ‘sun’. Like a pythagorean universe the work produces a celestial chord itself in proportion to these dimensions.

In this installation the work was timed to sing every four hours at the times of the traditional monastic services, the harmony filled the crypts and leaked up into the Cathedral above.
